Audio tape transfer Service

Your audio will be transferred to CD using well maintained equipment. We can also supply your transfers as computer files on portable hard drive.

When received, your recordings are checked for condition and suitability for transfer. Some reel to reel audio suffers from a condition called Sticky-shed syndrome (recognisable by a squeaking or screeching sound on playing), and will require a temporary restoration treatment called baking. Baking is the gentle removal of absorbed moisture from the tape by heat, allowing the tape to be played normally and digitised.

Only non-copyright material will be accepted for transfer.

• Reel to reel (Reel to reel 1/4 Inch 4 track and Stereo recordings, running at either 9.5 or 19 cms per second. In inches that is 3.75 or 7.5 inches per second.)
• Audiocassette, Compact Cassette
• MiniDisc

Up to 1 hour £20.00, then add £7.50 per half hour or part half hour. If tape baking is required add £10.00 per reel.

Audiocassette, Compact Cassette - MiniDisc

Up to 1 hour £15.00, then add £5.00 per half hour or part half hour.

10% discount if you have more than 5 hours of recordings.

Gold Archival CD upgrade £5.00 per disc used.
